Does the Lansinoh® Smartpump 2.0 Double Electric Breast Pump connect to an app to track my pumping sessions?
Yes, the Smartpump 2.0 uses Bluetooth® to seamlessly connect to the Lansinoh® Smartpump 2.0 app to automatically track your pumping sessions. The Lansinoh® Smartpump 2.0 app is available on both the Apple® App Store and Google® Play app store.
What features does the Lansinoh® Baby 2.0 app automatically track?
The Lansinoh Baby 2.0 App automatically tracks the date, time, and duration of the pumping sessions. The amount of milk pumped may be manually added to the pumping session log.
How is the App downloaded?
The Lansinoh Baby 2.0 App is available for download from the US iOS or Android app store.
Can I use other ComfortFit® flange sizes with the Smartpump 2.0?
Yes. The Smartpump 2.0 Deluxe comes with a pair of 25mm and 30.5mm ComfortFit® flanges. If you need additional sizes, we also have 21mm, 28mm, and 36mm sizes that are compatible with the Smartpump 2.0. Read our Flange Fit guide to learn more about ComfortFit® flange sizing. Note, the Smartpump 2.0 Starter Set and the Federal Employee Program (FEB) Smartpump 2.0 only come with the 25mm ComfortFit® flange size.
Can I pump cordless without plugging into an AC outlet?
Yes! You can pump without plugging into an AC outlet with either 6 AA batteries (not included) or, if you are in a car, with our Pump Car Adapter (sold separately.) For a rechargeable option, our Smartpump 3.0 has a rechargeable battery for easy cordless pumping anywhere.
Can the Lansinoh® Smartpump 2.0 Double Electric Breast Pump be used with other brand bottles?
It is recommended to use Lansinoh® Breastfeeding and Storage Bottles with the Smartpump 2.0 double electric breast pump. Moms may also pump directly into the Breastmilk Storage Bags with any Lansinoh® pump for added convenience.
What other Lansinoh® products can be used with the Smartpump 2.0?
The Lansinoh® 3-in-1 Breast Therapy Packs can be used with Smartpump 3.0 as a pumping aid. Simply heat it according to the instructions on the pack and wrap it around the breast flange to encourage let-down and reduce time spent pumping. Also, our Organic Nipple Balm can be used as a pumping lubricant while pumping with Smartpump 3.0. Lightly apply to the nipple and areola before pumping to improve comfort.
How often should the Smartpump 2.0 Double Electric Breast Pump/components be replaced?
There is no specific timeline for replacement. It is recommended to inspect the pump and accessories for wear and tear daily. If any parts are cracked, misshaped, or no longer connect, it is recommended to discard and replace them.

Are the Pump and accessories dishwasher safe?
The accessories of the Smartpump 2.0 may be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher but not the pump itself. The breast flange and bottle(s) may be cleaned on the top rack of the dishwasher or hand washed with dish soap and hot water. All other parts of the breastmilk expression set should be hand washed to prevent loss and extend their usefulness. To clean the breast pump base, wipe with a damp cloth, using only water or mild soap.
How does the memory function work? What cycle and suction settings will the pump go to once the let-down phase has ended?
The let-down phase lasts 2 minutes. The suction will automatically start at the last setting used in let-down mode. A mom can increase the suction in the let-down phase by pressing the plus (+) button or decrease by pressing (-) button. At the end of the two-minute let-down phase the pump will automatically move into the expression phase. If a mom would like to move into the expression phase before the end of the two-minute let-down phase, she can do so by pushing the Let-Down/Expression toggle button. When the pump moves into the expression phase the suction level will automatically decrease by one level unless the pump is already set to the lowest level. The Smartpump 2.0 memory will then gradually begin building the suction level back to the last pump expression session’s level and feeding style within 30 seconds.
What is the difference between hospital strength and hospital grade?
Hospital strength is the term used to describe a breast pump that can reach at least 250 mmHG of suction, which is the standard for pumps used in the hospital. All Lansinoh® double electric pumps have adjustable hospital strength suction that meets this 250mmHG required range.
The meaning of the term hospital grade depends on who is using the term. Healthcare providers such as nurses and lactation consultants that work in hospitals use hospital grade to describe a pump that has been clinically validated to establish and maintain a breastmilk supply. These pumps are used with patients who need to pump breastmilk for their sick or preterm babies. They are designed to be very durable, so they may be used for several years by a large number of patients. These pumps are usually not sold in stores or available through insurance. They are typically larger and bulkier than personal pumps, and they can cost thousands of dollars.
You may see some personal pump brands describe their pumps as “hospital grade”. However, these pumps have not been clinically validated and are generally only considered appropriate for single-user, personal pumping.
