What choice of settings does the Lansinoh® Natural Wave® Double Electric Breast Pump offer?
The Lansinoh® Natural Wave® Double Electric Breast Pump was designed to mimic the baby’s natural feeding pattern and includes 12 suction levels for Stimulation, Expression (3 pumping styles) and NaturalWave modes for a tailored and effective pumping experience. The ‘Stimulation’ phase uses quick and short suction to initiate the milk flow or a "let-down", the ‘expression’ phase maximizes milk flow through longer, deeper suction and our patented NaturalWave Mode uses rapid fluttering motions at the end of each cycle with pauses in between to mimic baby’s breastfeeding tongue movements to encourage multiple let-downs per session for effective pumping and maximized milk output.
What is the benefit to the NaturalWave Mode?
Can the Lansinoh® Natural Wave® Double Electric Breast Pump be used with other brand bottles?

Are the Lansinoh Natural Wave Double Electric Breast Pump and accessories dishwasher safe?
The accessories of the Natural Wave Pump may be washed in the dishwasher, on the top rack, not the pump itself. The breast flange and bottle(s) may be cleaned on the top rack of the dishwasher or hand washed with dish soap and hot water. All other parts of the breastmilk expression set should be hand washed to prevent loss and extend their usefulness. To clean the breast pump base, wipe with a damp cloth, using only water or mild soap.
Can I sanitize the Lansinoh® Natural Wave® Double Electric Breast Pump accessories in boiling water?
If you want to sanitize: 1. Place parts in a pot and cover with water making sure there is room for all of the parts to float freely in the pot. 2. Bring the water to a boil and allow the parts to boil for 5 minutes. 3. After boiling remove the parts from the pot with tongs and place on a clean towel to dry, covering the parts with a second clean towel. Place wash basin and bottle brush on a clean, unused dish towel or paper towel in an area protected from dirt and dust. Do not use a dish towel to rub or pat items dry because doing so may transfer germs to the items. 4. Allow the parts to dry completely before assembly and use. Partially dried parts may affect the operation of the pump. 5. Once parts are dry the can be stored in a clean plastic bin with a lid or in a clean plastic zipper bag.

What is the suction power of the pump?
The suction strength on our Lansinoh® Natural Wave® Breast pump varies between 80mmHg and 280mmHg, depending on the suction level selected by the mom. There is no difference in suction level when using the pump as a single or a double.
What is the difference between hospital strength and hospital grade?
Hospital strength is the term used to describe a breast pump that can reach at least 250 mmHG of suction, which is the standard for pumps used in the hospital. The Lansinoh® Natural Wave® has adjustable hospital strength suction that meets this 250mmHG required range.
The meaning of the term hospital grade depends on who is using the term. Healthcare providers such as nurses and lactation consultants that work in hospitals use hospital grade to describe a pump that has been clinically validated to establish and maintain a breastmilk supply. These pumps are used with patients who need to pump breastmilk for their sick or preterm babies. They are designed to be very durable, so they may be used for several years by a large number of patients. These pumps are usually not sold in stores or available through insurance. They are typically larger and bulkier than personal pumps, and they can cost thousands of dollars.
You may see some personal pump brands describe their pumps as “hospital grade”. However, these pumps have not been clinically validated and are generally only considered appropriate for single-user, personal pumping.
