What are some best practices in caring for my pump?
To help your DiscreetDuo Flow™ Wearable Pump last a long time and work well, try to keep the motors away from any liquid. This is especially important for the charging port and the screen.
Here’s how to do that:
- Watch the milk level so it doesn’t spill or overflow.
- Keep the pump standing straight up while using it.
- Don’t bend over or lie down while pumping.
- Take the motors off before pouring milk into another container.
- When you set the pump down, make sure it stays upright.
- Be careful not to drop the pump.
Only use a charger that says 5 volts and 2 amp (5V = 2A).
To clean the parts:
- Wash them by hand, don’t use a bottle or nipple brush on the valve or diaphragm, To sanitize, boil the parts in water for 5 minutes. Make sure there’s enough water so the parts can float and let them air dry.
Taking care of your pump like this will help it last longer and work better.
How many modes are available with the DiscreetDuo Flow™ Wearable Pump?
There are 4 modes, Stimulation, Expression, Massage and Automatic Modes that you can adjust the suction strength to a level 9 to find the best style for your pumping journey!
Stimulation mode (Icon is wavy line): Mimics how babies begin feeding with fast, light sucking. Use to begin pumping & initiate milk flow
Expression mode (Icon is a single water drop): Use when let-down is initiated & milk is flowing. Use after Stimulation mode or after breastfeeding
Massage mode (Icon is water drop with a mark on each side): Use if milk has stopped flowing in Expression mode to encourage additional let-downs
-
Automatic mode (Icon is two water drops): Optimizes suction from start to finish, increasing suction strength every 15 seconds.
How does the memory feature work?
Memory function: recalls the last used setting.
Always begins in Stimulation mode at level 1, then automatically switches to the last used mode and suction level. Examples:
– If last used in Expression Mode: Restarts in Stimulation Mode (Level 1) → after 2 minutes switches to Expression Mode (Level 1) and gradually returns to the previously used level.
– If last used in Massage Mode: Restarts in Stimulation Mode (Level 1) → after 2 minutes switches to Massage Mode (Level 1) and gradually returns to the previously used level.
– If last used in Automatic Mode: Restarts in Stimulation Mode (Level 1) → after 2 minutes switches to Automatic Mode and adjusts levels automatically.

How do I clean the Lansinoh® DiscreetDuo Flow™ Wearable Pump?
Follow the cleaning instructions included in the user manual. Do not get the DiscreetDuo Flow™ Wearable Pump hub wet. To clean the hub wipe down with a clean damp cloth with 70% ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol as needed. For the flange, silicone diaphragm, valve, flange insert, and milk collector cup clean with a mild dish washing soap and clean water in a separate wash basin dedicated to cleaning baby feeding products. Dry on a clean towel and do not use or store until parts are completely dry. These parts can also be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack, on wash cycle settings less than 100˚C/212˚F. It's recommend to turn of the heat drying cycle if you are cleaning your pump parts in the dishwasher.
What is the warranty? What does it cover?
The warranty for the purchaser is to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase on the pump mechanism (pump body/hub and motor) and the period of 90 days from the date of purchase on all other product components. The warranty is provided only to products purchased in the United States and shipped within the United States.
How do I transfer my breastmilk after I am done pumping?
When you are finished pumping, break the seal between the breast and the flange funnel with one finger and then carefully remove the pump from your breast. Separate the milk collector cup from the pump hub and pour the breastmilk into a storage bottle or breastmilk storage bag through the slot on the top of the cup. To minimize leaking, make sure the flange tunnel is facing up.
I don’t feel any suction? What should I do?
First check the DiscreetDuo Flow™ is assembled correctly following the instructions included in the box. Check if the silicone diaphragm is facing the correct way with flat side facing towards the front and indent towards the back from the flange tunnel ends. Also check the valve is horizontal and not vertical when attaching it to the breastmilk collection cup. Last, check the breast flange is completely sealed around the edges and the battery is fully charged before pumping.
