Who are the Lansinoh Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs recommended for?
The Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs are intended for mothers after childbirth who are experiencing postpartum uterine cramping, perineal pain and discomfort, hemorrhoid and/or c-section discomfort.
What makes Lansinoh® Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs different from other Postpartum Cold Therapy Packs?
Lansinoh® Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs are much smaller and lighter than most disposable cold packs. They are thin and flexible even when frozen, so they conform to mom’s body for a more comfortable fit. They are even comfortable enough to wear when walking around taking care of baby. Lansinoh® Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs are also reusable. You can continue using them as needed throughout your recovery – while one brand’s 8 ice packs may only last 1-2 days, depending on how frequently you use them.
Lansinoh® Hot & Cold Postpartum Therapy Packs can be used both Hot & Cold while disposable ice packs only offer cold therapy. Use cold for pain relief from perineal discomfort, hemorrhoids, & c-sections, or hot on the lower abdomen for relief from postpartum uterine cramping (Please do not use the pack hot on c-section abdomen incisions). Many women experience uterine cramping, and it is often most noticeable during breastfeeding. Using hot therapy packs can help mom breastfeed more comfortably.
Lansinoh’s Therapy Packs are not designed to be absorbent. We recommend moms wear them above their maternity pad to provide cold therapy. Lansinoh does provide optional soft disposable sleeves and many moms prefer using the Therapy Packs hot or cold with the sleeves for additional comfort.
Lansinoh Hot & Cold Therapy Packs also feature TheraPearl® ColorSmart™ Technology. This turns the pearls white when heated or purple when chilled – just another way to make things simpler for mom.
