The Soothies® Gel Pads provide instant cooling from cracked, painful or sore nipples so moms can continue to breastfeed.
How are Soothies® Gel Pads used?
One Soothies® Gel Pad is used per breast. The gel side of the pad is placed directly on the nipple between feeding or pumping sessions. Each set of pads can be used for up to 72 hours. Use of Soothies® therapy should not exceed three weeks. If condition persists, seek the advice of a breastfeeding specialist.
Where can the Soothies® Gel Pads be purchased?
The Soothies® Gel Pads are currently available nationally wherever mom and baby products are sold, including in-store and online at Walmart.
Can Lanolin Nipple Cream be used with Soothies® Gel Pads?
It is not recommended to use lanolin with Soothies® Gel Pads, as they both are designed to utilize moisture to promote soothing relief. If the skin surface becomes too moist, maceration can occur. However, if there is residual lanolin on your breasts while using Soothies®, do not be alarmed; no reactions will occur with the glycerin and the lanolin.
How often should Soothies® Gel Pads be replaced?
Each set of Soothies® pads can be used for up to 72 hours. Use of Gel Pads therapy should not exceed three weeks. If condition persists, seek the advice of a breastfeeding specialist.
Can Soothies® Gel Pads be used to help with mastitis?
No, Soothies® are not intended to be used as a treatment for mastitis.
Can Soothies® Gel Pads be heated?
No, it is not advisable to heat Soothies® Gel Pads. Applying a heated gel pad could result in a burn, which could exacerbate any existing soreness or pain.
How should the Soothies® Gel Pads be stored when not in use?
Please utilize the storage tray included in the package to place the pads in, between uses. The Soothies® Gel Pads may be placed in the refrigerator for additional cooling.
