The Air Ventilation System® reduces the intake of air, so, in turn, reduces potential cause of gas.
Can the Lansinoh® NaturalWave®Nipple be used with other bottles?
The Lansinoh® NaturalWave® Nipple is designed for Lansinoh® bottles and will not fit on other wide-sized bottles. We do not recommend using our nipple with any other bottle because we have not tested their bottle with our nipple.
How often should I replace the NaturalWave® Nipple?
We suggest inspecting the nipple for wear/tear daily and recommend changing the nipple every 7 weeks. If you notice the silicone is torn or compromised in any way, discard it. We also recommend not leaving the nipple in direct sunlight, heat, or leaving in disinfectant (“sanitizing solution”) for longer than instructions recommended as this may weaken the nipple.
Are Lansinoh® nipples dishwasher safe?
Lansinoh® bottles and NaturalWave® Nipples are dishwasher safe on the top rack only. However, to extend the life of the NaturalWave® Nipple, it is recommended to gently handwash.

You can use a nipple brush to clean the NaturalWave® Nipple. It is important to be gentle and not poke the brush through the hole; it is very small, and this can compromise the silicone. You can also soak nipples in warm soapy water, rinse and air dry, or place in top rack of the dishwasher.
Can I sanitize Lansinoh® NaturalWave® Nipples in boiling water?
The Lansinoh® bottles and NaturalWave® Nipples can be sanitized by boiling in water for five minutes. Please be sure that no parts of the bottle or attachments touch the bottom or the sides of the pan as this could cause them to melt.

When should I change the flow for my child’s NaturalWave® Nipple?
While using our Lansinoh® NaturalWave® Nipples, there is no exact age when you should switch the flow of nipple for your child. The best way to tell is by being mindful of their feeding habits. For example, if you notice that your child is sucking for a long time but still unable to get milk out as quickly as they used to, then that is an indication that they may need a faster flow nipple. However, if you do notice that milk is spilling onto the baby’s neck while feeding then that is an indication that they will need a slower flow nipple.
Is there an appropriate age for slow, medium, and fast flow nipples?
Babies flow preferences with bottle nipples are related to the way they feed at the breast rather than their age. It is recommended to start a breastfed baby with a slow flow nipple. If you notice that it takes longer for them to finish a feeding than it does at the breast, and they get frustrated with feeding and pull off the nipple frequently, these are indicators that you may need to switch to a medium flow.
There are slow, medium and fast nipples. Is there a way to tell them apart?
On the bottom rim of the nipple, the slow-flow nipple reads “Size 2S”, the medium-flow reads “Size 3M” and the fast-flow reads “Size 4L”.
Do you only have a wide neck nipple?
Yes, the Lansinoh® nipple is a wide neck nipple. It enables baby to have a wide latch similar to how a baby would latch on to the breast with a wide-open mouth.
